Stanley Campbell

Obituary of Stanley Ray Campbell

Stanley Ray Campbell passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on February 16, 2024, in Fort Morgan, Colorado. Born on November 28, 1950, in Lincoln, Nebraska, Stan and his family moved to northern Colorado in 1960, which he has called home since. He attended Greeley West High School and dedicated a long career to meat cutting at Monfort Pack, Toddy’s Grocery, and Safeway.

When not working, Stan could be found traversing the mountains, fishing, hunting, and doing what he loved best, sharing these experiences with his closest friends and family. He was also an avid trap shooter and belonged to various trap shooting leagues. Stan was a man who never met a stranger, offering his help and time to anyone in need. He was the kind of a guy who could strike up a conversation with anyone and always had a joke to crack. His presence was one that brought people together and allowed for so many cherished memories to be made.

Those who will miss him dearly include his loving wife, Gloria Campbell, son Scott Campbell, daughter Julie Smith, stepson Joseph Cabrero, and stepdaughter Katy Serna. He is survived by his brother Robert Campbell (Shelly), sister Diana Evans (Mike), nephew Bill Evans (Jessica), nine grandchildren, and his great nieces and nephews. Stan also leaves behind countless friends and his church family.

Stan is preceded in death by his parents Nile and Geraldine Campbell and niece Jennifer.

Stan, Dad, Hun, Grandpa, Papa Stan, or Stan the Man, however you knew him, he will always be remembered as the strong mountain man whom we dearly miss.
