Obituary of Dalton Elizabeth Berett

Dalton Elizabeth "Beth” Berett, 97, of Greeley passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021. She was born June 29, 1924 in Commerce, Texas to Leo and Hallie Alton (Farler) Hendrickson where she grew up. Beth graduated from high school in Memphis, Texas and then attended business school. On Sunday, April 1, 1945 she married Edward G. Berett in Childress, TX. They were then stationed at Fort Meyers, FL. They returned to Colorado following Ed’s separation from the Army Air Corps and settled in Greeley in the late 1940’s. Beth made a home for her family and later served as the church bookkeeper at First United Presbyterian Church, now Cornerstone Community Church. Beth enjoyed baking, knitting and hosting family gatherings. She was a member of Cornerstone Church. Survivors include her children; Lonnie (Kim) Berett of Cody, WY and Lois (Ty) Morris of Greeley, six grandchildren; Christopher (Shari) Berett, Michelle (Louis) Ward, Victor (Samantha) Berett, Sam Jones, Esther and Ben Morris as well as nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Terry Berett and her brother, Robert Leo "Bud” Hendrickson. Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, November 8, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Beth’s Life Celebration 1:00 p.m. Monday at Cornerstone Community Church with a reception to follow.
