Ginny Babcock Hogan posted a condolence
Dear Rhoads family,
Words are at a loss for me. I am shocked beyond belief and my heart hurts for you all so very badly. I have SO MANY wonderful memories of you all. Gale and Kathi, you trusted the Babcock girls to babysit your children. Those memories I will always cherish. When Dad told me you all were moving to Colorado, I thought YES, familiar faces! Whenever I walked into your home, I felt welcomed and loved. There are only happy memories with you all. You all are loved by the Babcock's so dearly. I am so very sorry. Love always-Ginny Hogan

Dearest Kathi and loved ones, I can't wrap my mind around Gale being gone. He was such a kind, funny, sweet man with a servant's heart. I am always so excited to get to see Gale and Kathi. I am grateful to have been with he and Kathi recently. I can see him pulling that brisket apart and slapping hands trying to steal bits of chicken. I can see it as plain as day. 20 or so people were gathered around him like pups waiting for a scrap to fall. He was the master. God brings people into our lives and my life was enhanced by having Gale touch it. I wish it didn't take the loss to make me so aware of God's blessing. I am so thankful for every memory of our time with Gale, they are precious treasure now. With love and prayers, Patty Shields.

So sad to hear about Gales passing. In the four years we lived in Sioux City, IA, we hung out with the Rhoads many times. Gale ALWAYS had a smile on his face and brought such fun to any event he attended. He will forever be a part of our memories. Judy & Eric Johnson
