Marshall Becker

Obituary of Marshall Kaplan Becker

After a long and adventurous life, Marshall Kaplan Becker, "Marsh” known by his friends and family, passed away December 6, 2021. Marsh was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan on December 25, 1934, to Walter and Clarice (Autheir) Becker. Marsh had one sister, Brenda, and one brother, Bruce. Early in Marsh’s childhood, the family moved to North Platte, Nebraska. After graduation from high school, Marsh completed his studies at Denver University. Marsh served in the U.S. Air Force, which led to his life-long career (and love!) as an airline pilot for TransWorld Airlines. Golfing, hunting, fishing, skiing, playing cards with his grandchildren and playing Bridge with good friends were special times for everyone involved. Going to Marsh’s for dinner was a special treat for his guests. He was a great cook and host. Marsh loved to travel, his cabin on Lake Superior and his "5 o’clock somewhere” Scotch! Marsh is survived by his son, Matt Becker, grandchildren Greg and Marina Edgington, Annika and Kylie Becker, Tennille Clark, Laura Ann Becker, three great-grandchildren, and many extended family members. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings and daughters Cheryl, Debbie and Natalie. Services will be held at a later date. Friends may leave condolences at AdamsonCares.com.
