Obituary of Louise Jane Lane

Louise "Jane” Lane, 86, of Arvada, formerly of Greeley, passed away December 10, 2021 at her home in Arvada. She was born January 7, 1935 in Greeley to Fred Kissler and Erma (Schlager) Kissler. She grew up in Greeley and graduated from Greeley Central High School. She attended college in Denver. Jane worked for King Soopers as an accountant for over 40 years, retiring as the supervisor of the accounting department. On February 14, 1986 she married Gene Kent Lane in Lakewood. The couple moved to Chandler, AZ in 1990 and lived there until they returned back to Greeley in 2003. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Greeley and King of Glory Lutheran Church in Arvada. Jane enjoyed playing card games, including hand and foot, bridge, and rummy, loved traveling to the mountains and enjoying the change of seasons, was an active participant in the church choir and taught Sunday school and loved doing crafts with the children. She is survived by her daughter, Terri Dumbleton of Lakewood, CO, step-son, Robert Lane of Thornton, CO, step-daughter, Robin Troxel of Kansas; grandchildren Brandon Dumbleton and wife Nikki of Golden, Collin Dumbleton of Lakewood and step-grandchildren, Lee and Michael Troxel; and her great-grandchildren, Linken, Destiny, Noah, and Max Dumbleton. She was preceded by her parents and her first husband Robert Lee Dirks. A memorial service will be held at 9:30 am Friday, January 7, 2022 at King of Glory Lutheran Church. Graveside service 2:00 pm at Our Savior’s Lutheran in Greeley.
