Obituary of Julius "Allen" Dunlap

J. Allen Dunlap III, 85, of Greeley, CO entered Heavens gates on January 5, 2022, two weeks shy of his 86th birthday from heart disease. Allen was born on January 18, 1936, to Julius and Mary (Grace) Dunlap in Columbia, SC. He had two children from his first marriage, James, and Mary. He was married to his sweetie, Judy, for 42 years and they had two children, Russell, and Andrew. Allen enjoyed trains, modeling, chasing, and researching their history. He retired from the military after serving in both the US Army and Navy for a total of 25 years. Allen enjoyed his friends and could be found at coffee shops in Greeley bending their ears. He is survived by his wife Judy; son James (Sherri) Dunlap; daughter Mary (Pete Koenig) Dunlap; son Russell (Jennifer) Dunlap; son Andrew (Tonia) Dunlap and five wonderful grandchildren who were his pride and joy. A Life Celebration will be 11:00am Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 47th Ave. Greeley, CO 80634. A reception will follow.
