Obituary of Robert "Bob" G. Sherriff

Robert G. "Bob” Sherriff, 87,of Greeley, stepped into eternity with Jesus January 16, 2022 from his home in Greeley, after a long, difficult illness, which he faced with gentle courage and grace. Bob was born July 15, 1934 to George and Euella (Baker) Sherriff in Denver, Colorado. He grew up in Conifer and graduated from Bear Creek High School in 1952. After graduation, Bob immediately joined the Navy where he served at the Naval Aviation Base located in Norman, Oklahoma. Upon leaving the Navy, he began his 35-year career with the Colorado Department of Transportation before retiring as a Senior Supervisor for Weld County. His marriage to Colleen in 1985 introduced "play” into his lifestyle of "work, work, work.” They traveled extensively, with multiple trips to the Holy Land. Bob lived a simple life. His joys were attending Cornerstone Community Church, (He especially loved choir.) working on household, yard, and garden projects, hosting friends in his home, and taking fun rides on his Honda Gold Wing. Bob is survived by his wife Colleen, his daughter Kerry Dukarski of Loveland, his granddaughter, Allyson Alexander of Michigan, and his sister, Carol Prock of Colorado Springs. He was preceded by his parents and his brother, Donald Sherriff. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Cornerstone Community Church. Inurnment Fort Logan National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Community Church in care of Adamson Funeral Home, 2000 W. 47th Ave., Greeley, CO 80634.
