Obituary of Benjamin LeeRoy Rivera

Benjamin LeeRoy Rivera, 76, of Evans, passed away on February 28, 2022 in Evans, Colorado. He was born to Harry Rivera and Clara Mata on October 14, 1945 in Greeley, Colorado.

He worked as a carrier for 35+ years for the Greeley Tribune and Rocky Mountain Newspaper. He was an amazing mechanic and there was nothing that he could not fix on a car.

LeeRoy loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandkids and great grandkids. He enjoyed showing his children how to repair vehicles at a young age and guided them and supervised their work from his wheelchair. He will be missed for his jokes and his quick wit personality. He loved helping people and would do anything for anybody when he could. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

He is survived by his children, Regina (Ray) Liscano, Eugene Rundquist, Benjamin Rivera Jr. (LoriAnne Ramos), Robert Rivera (Emily Torrez) and Mercy Rivera-Birdwell (Jay Birdwell); 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; siblings, Rosalie Martinez, Shirley (Pedro) Salazar, Richard Rivera, Arlene (Art) Baldez, Adela (Freddie) Hernandez and Roberta Rivera (Jesus Flores).

LeeRoy was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Marshall Rivera.

Memorial service will be held at 11 am, Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Mosaic Church, 3451 23^rd Avenue in Evans, Colorado. Reception will follow the service.
