Obituary of Guadalupe Ybarra

Guadalupe “Lupe” Ybarra, 86, of Greeley, passed away at his home in Greeley, Colorado on March 11, 2022. He was born to Ambrocio and Manuela (Estrada) Ybarra on December 22, 1935 in Big Springs, Texas.

He moved to Greeley, Colorado in 1950, where he met and later married the love of his life, Anita Ybarra (Mungia) on July 17, 1954. They were married until her passing in 2021.

Lupe loved the outdoors, especially fishing and gardening. He was a jack-of-all-trades. There was nothing he could not fix or put together. He was a gentle soul who would do anything for anybody and always willing to lend a hand when he could. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

He is survived by his daughter, Susie (Domingo) Munoz; grandchildren, Vince (Desiree) Benavides, Jennifer Badial (Carlos Burciaga), Valerie Benavides (Daniel Becerra), Thomas Ybarra, Trenton Ybarra, Tsvetonka Ybarra and Tyler Ybarra; 8 great grandchildren; siblings, Eustolia Gonzalez, Gene Ybarra, Porfidio Ybarra and Ray Ybarra and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lupe was preceded in death by his wife; children, Rudy and Josefine; siblings, Pablo, Mary and Petra.

Visitation will be held between 4-7 pm, Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Adamson Life Celebration Home in Greeley. Service will be held at 9:30 am, Friday, March 18, 2022 at Victory Outreach Church, 2626 11th Ave STE B in Greeley.
