Obituary of Ron Lockman

Ronald “Ron” James Lockman, 56, of Eaton passed away unexpectedly at home on March 8, 2022.  He was born in Greeley to Darrel and Tamara (Bolenbaugh) Lockman on March 12, 1965. 

Ron grew up in the Eaton area his entire life and graduated from high school in 1984. After graduation Ron attended Aims Community College to study becoming an auto mechanic.  In June 1994, he married Sheryl Lynne Koppenhafer in Eaton and they raised two sons.

Ron worked for B&G Irrigation, Milne Farms and Eaton Ace Hardware before staying home to help raise his two boys for a year.  In 2005 he began his own handyman business. He and his wife also flipped homes and managed their own rental properties. 

For his hobbies, Ron was a jack-of-all trades and master of none, according to his family.  He liked to work on cars, raise plants, bonsai, fish, playing instruments; banjo, guitar, violin, accordion, cooking and brewing beer.  He also had an eclectic music appreciation with rock and roll, old country and classical instrumentation. 

Thankful to have shared his life are his wife, Sheri of 28 years, sons’ Casey James Lockman and Shawn Connor Lockman, his parents, Darrel and Tamara Lockman, three brothers; Kenneth Charles Lockman, Cody Wayne Lockman and Brad William (Lori) Lockman, a niece; Sierra Staab, parents-in-law, Ed and Sue Koppenhafer and brother-in-law, Clint Koppenhafer. 

Ron’s Life Celebration will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Adamson with a reception to follow.  Memorial gifts may be made to the “Weld County Humane Society” in care of Adamson, 2000 47^th Ave., Greeley, CO 80634.  Ron’s family encourages everyone to take a loved one out to lunch and enjoy the time.  Friends may leave condolences at AdamsonCares.com.
