Obituary of Eldon Leroy Bohlmeyer

Eldon Bohlmeyer, 92, of Greeley died Saturday, April 2nd in the comfort of his own home. He was born March 4th, 1930 in Plymouth, Nebraska. SURVIVORS: His son Martin Bohlmeyer of Kersey, CO and daughters Jerie Lynn Redding of Mesa, AZ and Amy Shenkenberg of Greeley, CO; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Viewing: 10 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Saturday April 9th at Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 47th Ave, Greeley, CO.  Funeral Service: 2 p.m Saturday April 9th at Trinity Episcopal Church, 3800 W 20th St., Greeley, CO. Graveside service Tuesday April 12th at 10 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery, 14800 Brighton Road, Brighton, CO. Note: Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Community Church, 8001 W 23rd Ave., Lakewood, CO 80214.

Tribute: On July 2, 1961 Mr. Bohlmeyer married Dolores Eileen Weber, the love of his life for 55 years. Mr. Bohlmeyer served in the US Airforce from 1950-1954 during the Korean War. Mr. Bohlmeyer worked as an assistant manager at Producers Livestock Credit Corporation from 1959 to 1985 when he retired. When not working he enjoyed caring for his acreage outside of Brighton. One of his favorite places was Hawaii where he and his wife visited many times but truely Mile High was his favorite place as he was an avid Bronco fan and season ticket holder for over 50 years. Mr. Bohlmeyer was a lifetime member of St. Paul’s Community Church in Lakewood, CO since 1957. He attended Trinity Episcopal Church when he moved to Greeley in 2005. Other Survivors: His son Martin Bohlmeyer and wife Jeanette of Kersey, daughters Jerie Lynn Redding of Mesa, AZ and Amy Shenkenberg and husband Craig of Greeley; nine grandchildren Adam Bohlmeyer and wife Ashley of Loveland, CO, Beth Phyillaier and husband Joe of LaSalle, CO, Misty Oler and husband Noel of Tucson, AZ, Malinda Boyer and husband Joseph of Tucson, AZ, Ryan Redding and wife Chelsea of Scottsdale, AZ, and Crystal Redding of Navarro, CA. Beau Shenkenberg of Greeley, Brooke Shenkenberg of Greeley and Alexa Shenkenberg of Greeley; six great-grandchildren, Nicholas Hoyle of Tucson, AZ, Natasha Oler of Tucson, AZ, Cody Phyillaier of LaSalle, Micah Phyillaier of LaSalle, Gabriel Bohlmeyer of Loveland and Adley Bohlmeyer of Loveland. Also surviving is a brother, Vernon Bohlmeyer and wife Sandy of Liberty, Missouri. Preceded in death by: His sister Donnalene Liska, his two brothers Ronald Bohlmeyer and Delmar Bohlmeyer and his parents.
