Obituary of Genevieve Guadalupe Cordova
Genevieve Guadalupe Cordova, 69, of Johnstown passed away at her home on Friday, April 8, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 4, 1953 in Denver to Cipriano and Dolores (Castillo) Hernandez where she grew up before moving to Windsor with her family.
In 1971, she married George Lee Cordova in Brighton. She loved to play softball; first base and catcher, was an avid Bingo player, loved her Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies.
Thankful to have shared her life are her husband, George, children; Andrea (Ivan) Sufian, Shawn (Ty) Buxman and Jacqueline (Marc) Hanger, eight grandchildren; Nicklas, Drake, Samuel (Brianna), Steven, Tristan, Scarlett, Danielle (Ramiro) and Mariah (Ryan), eight great-grandchildren; Kendyl, Gabriel, Kaia, Amelia, Grayson, Silas, Owen and Abel, brothers and sisters; Tina (Mike) Lopez, Dave (Theresa) Hernandez, Ray (Cathy) Hernandez, Linda (Maurice) Pribble, Joe (Debbie) Hernandez, Lawrence Hernandez, Berta (Rick) Maestas, Gerard Hernandez, Matt (Diyianna) Hernandez and brother-in-law, Oliver Streeter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter, Isabella, a sister, Diana Streeter and infant sister, Joann Hernandez.
A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2022 at Adamson. Recitation of the Rosary 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2022 followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Johnstown. Interment Johnstown Cemetery with a reception to follow at Dreams & Dragonflies Event Center.
