Obituary of Gary Coats Mount

Gary Coats Mount, 80, of Kersey, passed away on 5/13/2022 in Greeley, Colorado. He was born to Stanley Coats and Alice Mae (Patterson) Mount on September 29, 1941 at home in Wet Prairie, Arkansas.

Gary made his way to Colorado, as a child, via Syracuse, Kansas, Weldona, Colorado and Greeley where he met the love of his life, Joyce Darlene Stevens. They enjoyed 58 years of marriage.

He spent 10 years with CDOT, and 24 years as a mechanic. He was in his 24th year as maintenance supervisor at Kersey Housing Authority. He enjoyed working and tinkering with cars, especially Jeeps and Broncos and hotrods. He was a huge Rockies and Nuggets fan. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

Gary is survived by his children, Mike (Penny) Mount and Lisa O'Connor; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Mount; son, Cary Mount; son-in-law, Edward O'Connor; siblings, Shirley, and Joanne.
