Obituary of Wanda Mae Stromberger

Wanda Mae Stromberger, 92, of Greeley, passed away with her family at her side on Monday, May 16, 2022.  She was born at the family home in Timnath, Colorado to William and Marie (Hoff) Wiedeman, Jr. on November 20, 1929.

Wanda graduated from Windsor High School in 1947 and she married Edwin Lee Stromberger on September 5, 1949 in Windsor.

Wanda worked for Greeley Dry right out of high school and after marrying, she helped Ed on the farm.  She sold Avon for many years and then in 1972, they bought Greeley Office Equipment and she worked as the secretary and bookkeeper until they dissolved the business in 2016. 

She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, baking, scrapbooking, playing the organ and piano and was a terrific mom and grandma. 

Wanda was active in Christian Women’s Club and a number of churches over the years; St. Paul’s Congregational, Christian Congregational and the First United Methodist Church.

Thankful to have shared her life are her husband, Ed; daughter, Cheryl Moore; daughter-in-law, Lori Stromberger; two grandchildren, Sara (Ben Williams) Moore and Andrea Moore and five great-grandchildren; Audrey, Jameson, Edward, Lexi and Meghan. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Steve, her brother Willie Wiedeman and his wife Marge and her son-in-law, Frank Moore, Jr.

Wanda’s graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 23, 2022 at Sunset Memorial Gardens.  Memorial gifts may be made to “First United Methodist Church” or “Boys Town” in care of Adamson, 2000 47th Ave., Greeley, CO 80634.  Friends may leave condolences at AdamsonCares.com.
