Obituary of Theodore R. Vialpando

Theodore “Ricky” Vialpando, 62, of Greeley, CO passed away May 20, 2022, at UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital. He was born June 11,1959 in Montrose, CO to Joe and Mary (Sanchez) Vialpando. Ricky was an intelligent and talented man. He loved to read, watch movies, listen to music, and even played the guitar and drums in a band. Ricky lived a hard life, yet he never let it harden his heart. He was a generous and forgiving man, willing to self-sacrifice for the good of others. Ricky experienced many health challenges near the end of his life and even then, he remained optimistic. He dreamed of owning an RV and traveling the country while working with the carnival. He was a big dreamer, with an even bigger heart. Ricky is deeply loved and will be greatly missed. 

Ricky is survived by his sisters, Martha (Marcos Castillo) Valdez-Castillo, Rose (Manuel Barron) Vialpando-Barron; brother Johnny (Elisa) Vialpando; his children Gina Vialpando, Simon Vialpando, and Catrina Barrera; nieces and nephews, Annamarie Valdez Nicholson, Eddie Vialpando, Sylvia Villalobos, Quirino Vialpando, Sylvia Villalobos, Lauren Meyer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Tony Vialpando, Bobby Vialpando, and several aunts and uncles.

Visitation and Recitation of the Rosary will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 3rd, 2022, at Adamson Life Celebration Home. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
