Obituary of Doris Anne Runyan

Doris Anne Runyan born on October 8th, 1929, to Earl & Elsie Roe (Hesseltine) in Cedar Bluffs Kansas, passed away peacefully in Greeley Colorado on June 21st, 2022, at the age of 92.

Doris married the love of her life, Claude Runyan in Kansas on the family farm.

Doris grew up on a farm where the entire family worked hard, instilling Doris’s work ethic from a young age. She grew up to become a teacher & took pride in taking her lessons home to share with her grandchildren once they were born. She loved to share stories of life on the farm, was an amazing cook, loved to take walks and was a friend to many. Doris would do anything for her grandchildren and enjoyed every moment spent with them and her family.

Doris is survived by her children Rick (Kathleen) Runyan of Greeley CO, Vicky (Richard) Warkentin of Greeley CO, and six grandchildren Stephanie (Marc) Mighell of Greeley CO, Jessica (Derrick) Perbeck of Prairie Village KS, Jeffrey (Emily) Runyan of Westminster CO, Scott (Maggie) Runyan of Windsor CO, Brittany (Scott) Protain of Greeley CO, and Kortney Runyan of Greeley CO. She is survived by 2 siblings Deanna O’Toole of Olathe KS, and Delbert Roe of North Platte NE, her daughter Vicky’s grandchildren Kaden & Siani Mighell, Reese & Brynlee Perbeck, as well as her son Rick’s grandchildren, Camden, Bennett & Brooks Runyan, Presley & Hadley Protain, and Isaiah, Damian, and Karolina Runyan.

Doris is preceded in death by her loving husband Claude E. Runyan, her brother Donald Roe, sisters Della Roe & Doreen Lindberg, and grandchildren Justin and Jeffrey Warkentin.

 

A Life Celebration Memorial Service will be held on Saturday August 27th, at 12:30PM located at Adamson Life Celebration Home (2000 47th Ave. Greeley CO, 80634) with a reception to follow at 1:30PM.
