Obituary of Donna Mae Boehm

Donna Crail Boehm, 92 of Greeley, Colorado passed away peacefully with family by her side at her home on August 2, 2022. She was born June 21, 1930, to Claude and Mae (Arnold) Crail in Okeene, Oklahoma. Donna spent her childhood in Watonga, Oklahoma and had many colorful stories of her early years there. She graduated from Watonga High School where she was the Drum Major of the marching band. One of her proudest accomplishments was being selected twice as the Outstanding Drum Major at the Tri State Band Festival.

Donna married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Milton Boehm, on the morning of August 21, 1949 in Watonga.

In July of 1959, the family moved to Fort Morgan, Colorado with the opportunity to own and operate the Cover Theater and Valley Drive Inn with Milton’s parents. Donna valued the many friendships during this 40-year venture and had happy memories of her time helping with the theatres. Donna was an active member in the community and served on many community boards and projects. Two of these include President of the Ft. Morgan Chamber of Commerce and holding all offices as a member of PEO.

Milton and Donna sold the theatres in 1999, relocating to Greeley, Colorado a few years later.

Donna greatly enjoyed traveling, her and Milton traveled the world together. It always seemed that no matter their destination, they always came back full of stories of the sights that they experienced and the many friendships made along the way. She also was enormously proud of her family and adored the time she was able to spend with them.

Donna was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years Milton Boehm; parents Claude and Mae Crail; parent-in-laws Herbert and Georgia Boehm; and son-in-law Dennis Stevens. She is survived by her children Claudia Stevens of Greeley; Mike Boehm of Fort Morgan; and Brad (Jennifer) Boehm of Greeley; grandchildren Trae (Tammy) Boehm of Fort Morgan; Chris (Melissa) Boehm of Wiggins; and Callie (Justin) Lewis of Conroe, TX; as well as numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Bridge Assisted Living and Pathways Hospice for their love and care of Donna.

A Life Celebration Memorial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 12, 2022, followed by a cookie reception at Adamson Life Celebration Home.
