Obituary of Frank David Wozney
Frank David Wozney passed away in his sleep on the morning of August 22, 2022. Even though he battled with congestive heart failure it never slowed him down. Frank was a Colorado native since 1943, an active hiker who enjoyed weekly drives to walk Lake Estes and enjoy a cinnamon roll on the return trip home. He had a robust life filled with activities surrounding his two daughters and their families. He enjoyed working on his home, his cars, his lawn, and exploring the history of our great nation. When his family was young, every trip included a stop at a historical monument from Mount Rushmore to the Smithsonian or roadside markers or war memorials.
In the early days of his life, Frank enjoyed raising pigeons and trouncing through the Sterling fields with his best buddy Skip, hunting pheasant and fishing, or palling around with his brothers Bruce and Gilbert, or tormenting his sisters Marilyn and Carol.
After high school he enlisted in the army and invested in the Vietnam War efforts. The skills he learned in the Army as a mechanic steered him toward a life-long career with Kodak, which concluded with a rewarding retirement.
Frank was a kind and loving father, brother, and friend with a mischievous sparkle in his eyes that matched his sense of humor. He loved God deeply and was well-loved. He will be greatly missed.
Frank is survived by his two daughters and their families, Darcy Downing and son-in-law, Sean Downing, granddaughters, Brianna, Tiarra and Jane; Tara Seneshale and son-in-law Joe Seneshale and grandchildren Zac and Karlie Tyler, Emily, and Carson; his brother Gilbert and Jennie Wozney, sister Marilyn and Allen Marick and sister Carol Griffith and many nieces and nephews.
