Obituary of Ellen Faye Hill

Ellen Faye Hill, 78, of Johnstown passed away in Herriman, Utah on Tuesday, September 13, 2022.  She was born November 2, 1943 in El Paso, TX to Joseph B. and Jewell E. (Cabler) Fannin. 

On December 26, 1961 she married Bennie B. Hill, Jr. in Phoenix, AR. 

Ellen loved to sing and she had perfect pitch.  She loved to sing harmonies and could find the harmony to any song.  She also loved to be creative and used her talents for crafting, sewing and anything else that fulfilled her need to be creative.  She had a generous heart and gave her service freely any chance that she could.  Her faith sustained her through the years and difficult trials she would face.  Above all else, she loved her family.  Her dream was to keep her family close and to teach them to always be there for each other and she did just that. 

Ellen was a member of the Johnstown Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. 

Survivors include her husband, Bennie B. Hill, Jr., children; Greg (Julie) Hill, Scott (Tammie) Hill, Wade Hill, Joseph (Heather) Hill and Shawndra (Michael) Keeley, 11 grandchildren; Andrew (Melissa) Hill, Spencer Hill, KJ Hill, TJ (Alexis) Hill, Nicholas (Lauren) Hill, Katie (Christopher) Prach, Michael Hill, Tera Hill, Olivia Hill, Megan (James) Vaughn, Lauren (Ryan) Anderson and 16 great-grandchildren as well as her sister, Betty Peoples.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; Wayne and Edward “Bud” and her sister, Marietta. 

Ellen’s Life Celebration will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 24, 2022 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Johnstown.  Interment Johnstown Cemetery.
