Obituary of Juan Mateo Salinas

Juan Mateo Salinas, 70, of Greeley, passed away September 29, 2022 at his home in Greeley.  He was born October 26, 1951 to Mateo Morado and Maria Lupe Lara in Greeley.  Juan grew up in the Greeley and Eaton area.  He married Esther Duran and they later divorced.  He had worked for Monfort for many years, owned his own business’ Salinas Sewer Service and most recently had worked as a custodian for the school district in Windsor.  Juan enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gambling.  He loved going out to eat and he was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. Juan enjoyed doing crafts at home and he would make the best Pumpkin Roll.

He is survived by his children; John Michael Salinas of Greeley, Tommy “Pooh Bear” Salinas of Greeley, Lisa Salinas and husband David Limas of Loveland, Melissa Ruiz and husband Anthony of Greeley, Janaya Gonzales and fiancé Johnny Payne of Rock Port, Texas, Janaye Gonzales and companion Mike Ortero of Greeley, and Seth Salinas of San Francisco, California, his siblings; Cenovia Salinas Quesada of Lansing, MI, Leonardo Salinas Jr. and wife Betty of Caddo Mills, Texas, Maria Guadalupe Garcia and husband Carlo Rampa of Chicago, IL, Maria Antonieta Salinas Trujillio and husband Faustin of Greeley, CO, Josie Morado of Greeley, CO,  Martin Morado of Greeley, CO, Roberto Morado of Greeley, CO and Esperanza Morado de Caudillo of California; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson Andre Limas, and siblings; Juan Martin Salinas, Leonardo Salinas Martinez, San Juanita Salinas Carrera, Jorge Salinas, Ramona Salinas, Manuel Salinas, Yolanda Salinas, Jesus Morado, Lupe Morado, Ramon Morado, Alfredo Morado, Conception Morado, Edwardo Morado, and Manuel Morado.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2022 from 5:00p.m. until 7:00p.m. at Adamson Life Celebration Home.  Life Celebration 11:00a.m. Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Adamson.  Interment Eaton Cemetery.
