Obituary of Reuben Bopp

Reuben Bopp, 95, of Eaton, passed away October 9, 2022 in Fort Collins.  He was born October 6, 1927 to Alex John and Mollie Marie (Dill) Bopp in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.  Reuben moved to Eaton as a child and attended Eaton High School.  He owned and operated Bopp Electric in Eaton for over 30 years.  Always very involved in his community, he was a volunteer firefighter with the Eaton Fire Department for 25 years, served as an elected official on the Eaton City Council for 12 years, and served as a board member for the Eaton Fire Protection District.  He enjoyed spending time at his mountain cabin in Red Feather Lakes, fishing, home maintenance and taking care of his properties.  Reuben was very talented and accomplished at all sorts of construction tasks.  He built his own beloved mountain cabin.  He also performed various investment property remodels and enjoyed those activities.

Reuben is survived by his siblings; Margaret Cecil of Fort Morgan, CO, Clarence Bopp of Surprise, AZ, Alex Bopp of Surprise, AZ and cherished companion Doris Gregory of Eaton, CO.  He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  He was proceeded in death by his parents and siblings; Johnnie Bopp, Loretta Cecil, and Donald Bopp.

A visitation will be held Thursday, October 20, 2022 from 5:00p.m. until 7:00p.m. at Adamson Life Celebration Home.  A Life Celebration will be held at 11:00a.m. Friday, October 21, 2022 at Adamson Life Celebration Home.  In lieu of flowers, family and friends are encouraged to make a donation to Pathways Hospice,  305 Carpenter Road, Fort Collins, CO 80525 www.pathways-cares.org
