Obituary of Brent Bass

Brent was born on October 16, 1972, a Monday morning, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Lowell Wayland and Terry Lynn (Grisham) Bass. It was a joyous home birth surrounded by loving family and friends who were praying as he made his appearance.

His earliest years were spent in Tulsa, Oklahoma; Jackson, Mississippi; and Detroit, Michigan with his parents working in various ministry efforts. In 1977 the family moved to La Junta, Colorado to pioneer a home mission church. Brent often spoke of those years as some of his happiest, In 1986 the family moved to Greeley, Colorado to start another home mission church. Brent was involved in church work from his earliest memories. He received the Holy Ghost and was baptized in Jesus Name as a young child.

Brent graduated from Greeley West High School and Aims Community College and attended the University of Northern Colorado. He lived and worked in Greeley for the remainder of his life.

In 1993 Brent married Justine Rosales, the mother of his beautiful daughter, Ariel Denee, the joy of his life.  Ariel was by his side, holding him at his last breath.

Handsome, witty, fun, intelligent, compassionate are all words that describe him. He was an avid Oklahoma University football fan. He adored his nieces and nephews, his siblings,

family time, Trivia games (and he would win), karaoke and road trips back to the city of his birth, Tulsa, Oklahoma. He maintained relationships with his aunts, uncles, cousins,

grandparents and many friends all of his life.

Lowell Brent Bass is preceded in death  by his father, Lowell Wayland Bass.

He is survived by his daughter, Ariel Zavala, mother, Terry Lynn Bass, sisters; Angela  (Frank) Barron, Natalie (Malio) Lozano, nieces; Reagan Barron and Nadia Lozano,  nephews; Landon, Landry and Brookes Lozano, as well as a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

On October 14, 2022, Brent passed from this life at North Colorado Medical Center Hospice with his daughter, sisters and mother surrounding him. We thank God for blessing us with Brent.

Brent’s visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 22, 2022 with services to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Landmark Tabernacle, 2727 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver, CO 80227.  A luncheon will follow the services.  Interment 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 24, 2022 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Greeley.  Memorial gifts may be made to “Tupelo Children’s Mansion” in care of Adamson, 2000 47^th Ave., Greeley, CO 80634.
