Obituary of Betty Jo Urich

Betty Jo (Lebsock) Urich, 70, of Greeley passed away at her home on November 17, 2022. She was born June 30, 1952 in Ainsworth, NE to Donald Lee and Alice Elnora (Mark) Brown. At the age of 8, the family moved to Fort Morgan in 1960.

Betty graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1970, attended one year at UNC in Greeley and then graduated from Highland Hills Beauty Academy with her cosmetology license.

She owned The Cutting Crew in both Fort Morgan and Fort Collins. She married Daryl Wayne Urich on October 18, 1997 in Fort Collins, celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary this year. She retired in 2002 and in 2017 they moved to Greeley.

Betty loved animals; her different birds and dogs over the years. She was a voracious reader, played the organ at a young age, enjoyed painting with her electronic devices, was a WW II and Vietnam history buff, loved flowers and plants, but most enjoyed her family.

Thankful to have shared her life are her husband, Daryl; daughter, Leigh Ann (Sean) Grey and two grandchildren; Hunter and Teren Grey, her brother; Mark (Ronda) Brown: sister-in-law Cathy (Gary) Dahlgren; and brother-in-law Gary (Rhonda) Urich and several niece and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, in-laws, and her daughter, Kerri.

Betty’s Life Celebration will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 1, 2022 at St. Paul’s Congregational Church, 1525 43rd Avenue, Greeley with a reception to follow. Inurnment will be held at Linn Grove Cemetery at a later date. Memorial gifts may be made to “American Cancer Society” in care of Adamson, 2000 47th Ave., Greeley, CO 80634.
