Obituary of Rick Aragon

Richard “Rick, Ricky” Keith Aragon, 65, went to Heaven on November 28 2022, with his loving wife and family by his side in Aurora, Colorado.  He was born September 18, 1957, in Elizabeth, New Jersey to Kenneth and Victoria (Perez) Aragon. His mother and father were Weld County natives who returned to La Salle in 1977, where they opened KEA Metal Ring Company.  Rick was actively engaged in the family business since 1980. In 2003, Rick took over the family business and successfully ran it to the current day. Rick was in the process of selling the business and was looking forward to retirement with his wife, Beverly.

Rick graduated from Green Brook High School in 1975 in New Jersey, where he first met Beverly Goleskie. The two reconnected years later at a class reunion and eventually married on May 27, 2011. They were blessed with a loving marriage that included a deep devotion to their faith. Beverly describes Rick as ‘her perfect’.  They shared a deep and powerful connection and truly enjoyed each other’s company, often inseparable. They were active members of Victory Christian Fellowship.

Rick’s hobbies and interests included family, music, golf, travel, and the outdoors. It was Rick’s plan to move to Florida, within the near future, where he could be found on the golf course each day pursuing his elusive ‘hole in one’.  His family takes comfort believing that he has attained many ‘holes in one’ in heaven and is enjoying the company of those who predeceased him including his father, Kenneth, and dear friend, Frank Roybal.

Rick achieved his dream trip of a lifetime in 2015 with a visit to Israel with his wife Beverly.  This spiritual pilgrimage was thrilling to both of them and even more meaningful that they experienced this together in devotion to their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  A music lover, Rick was quite the concert goer who had a particular love of Red Rocks.  And nothing made Rick happier than enjoying the company of others.  His quick wit and sense of humor allowed him to make friends easily.  He loved his very large extended family and treasured the family gatherings and even managed to be punctual to a few of the events which was a constant joke amongst his beloved cousins.

Rick was a loving husband and devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly; mother Victoria; his sisters Nancy, Janet (Billy), and Angela (Matt); his brothers Ken (Janet), Paul, and Steve (Kim); six nephews and six nieces; three great nephews and one great niece; two step children Jackie and Justin, step grandson Nico; numerous relatives and many friends, all of whom will miss him greatly.

A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Monday, December 5 at Adamson.  Rick’s Life Celebration will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 6 with visitation one hour prior at Victory Christian Fellowship in Greeley.  Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.  A reception will follow at the church.  Memorial gifts may be made to “Plan International” at Planusa.org/birthday-donation, an organization that Rick and Bev have actively supported or can be sent in care of Adamson, 2000 47th Ave., Greeley, CO 80634.  Condolences may be sent to AdamsonCares.com.
