Obituary of Patricia Ann Pringle

Patricia Ann Pringle, 81, of Greeley, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2022, at The Lodge.  Born September 30, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan to Raymond and Virginia (Schuler) Ruckel, she graduated from Royal Oak Dondero High School in 1959.  Pat attended Albion College for two years, Wayne State for two years and completed her bachelor’s degree in Sociology at Iowa State University.  On December 15, 1962, she married her high school sweetheart, David Pringle, in Royal Oak, Michigan. 

Pat was a member of First United Methodist Church where she generously volunteered her time and talents.  She worked for Foster Valuation Company as an Office Manager for countless years, retiring to become a professional grandmother.

Her first love was family, and she found her greatest joy shepherding and supporting that family.  Pat’s expert skills as a seamstress enhanced the wardrobes of her children and grandchildren throughout the years. Her sewn works adorned every room, bringing homemade comfort in ways only a caring wife and mother can.  She expertly planned numerous family trips to Disney World, coordinated reunions on the serene shores of Elk Lake in Michigan, and hosted too many dinners and holidays to count.  Her mint pies were a coveted dessert favorite.  Unfailingly optimistic and supportive, she never had an unkind word to say about anyone.  Presented with an idea, she only had words of encouragement and love; change your mind by morning, her support would immediately follow.  No matter what life brought, rarely would anyone see Pat without her welcoming smile and the sharing of a heartfelt greeting.

She is survived by her husband David of Greeley; her sons, Bill Pringle and wife Lois of Greeley, Roy Pringle and wife Lisa of Phoenix, AZ, and Richard Pringle and wife Giusy of Virginia; and nine grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, R. William “Bill” Ruckel.

A Life Celebration will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 15, 2022, at First United Methodist Church in Greeley.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Weld County Food Bank in care of Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 W. 47^th Ave., Greeley, CO  80634.
