Obituary of Matilda Mildred Felix

Matilda M. “Tillie” Felix, 82, of Greeley, passed away Thursday,  December 22, 2022 at North Colorado Medical Center.  She was born March 14, 1940 in Greeley to Martin and Jennie (Lagunas) Sanchez.  Tillie grew up in Greeley and attended Meeker Jr. High School and Greeley Central High School.  She married Guadalupe Felix on March 6, 1972.  She was a homemaker and worked for 10 years as a secretary at St. John’s Catholic Church in Riverside, CA.  She enjoyed church choir and was active in many church groups.  Tillie was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church.  She loved to cook and family and church were very important to her.

She is survived by her sons, Jaime Felix and wife Maria of Riverside, CA and Gerardo Felix and wife Julia of Greeley; grandchildren, Jaime Felix, Jr., Gerardo Felix, Jr., Lupita Felix, Raquel Felix, Juan Felix, and Angel Felix; great-granddaughter Rosalie; siblings, Joe “Henry” Sanchez, Antonio Sanchez and wife Joyce, Guadalupe Sanchez and wife Maria, Juan Sanchez and wife Mabel, Deacon Andy Sanchez and wife Chris, Veronica Clark, and Mary Gonzalez all of Greeley.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her sister, Betty Sanchez.

Visitation will be from 8:00a.m. until 9:00a.m. on Friday, January 6, 2023 followed by the Recitation of the Rosary at 9:00am and Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 9:30a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church.  Inurnment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Riverside, CA.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter Catholic Church in care of Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 W. 47^th Ave., Greeley, CO  80634.
