Obituary of Shari Francine Wiedeman

Shari Francine Wiedeman, 84, of Fort Collins, formerly of Greeley, passed away Friday, April 21, 2023 after complications of COPD and pneumonia.  She was born January 16, 1939 in Greeley to Herman and Olinda (Heberlein) Schmidt. 

The family lived in Wiggins where Shari was raised most of her life and she graduated from LaSalle High School.  She married Johnny Alles in February 1956 and they had a daughter, Terri.  She later married Harry Wiedeman on July 2, 1960 at St. John Lutheran Church and they had two children; Michael and Marcie. 

After her children went to school, Shari worked at Brentwood Elementary as an aide, then for the Greeley Board of Realtors as a secretary, for Central Bank in Greeley, was a hostess at the Ebony Room, a favorite restaurant in Greeley and lastly for Adamson Funeral & Cremation as a secretary and funeral assistant. 

Shari loved to work in her garden and play music on the accordion, violin, piano or the organ.  She loved hosting holiday dinners and baking Christmas cookies with her family.  They were active in the Greeley Elks Lodge and she served as a Sunday school teacher and organist at St. John United Church of Christ in years past. 

Survivors include her three children; Terri Alles Thorburn, Michael (Lori) Wiedeman and Marcie Sealey, seven grandchildren; Megan, Kara (Shane), Brian, Karli (Andrew), Haley (Connor), Seth (Bri) and Sara, two step-grandchildren; Mandy Buchheim and Josh (Brittany) Spurgin, six great-grandchildren; Riley Monk, Aiden Porter, Harlee Porter, Maisie Lamb, Ava Roggy, four step-great-grandchildren; Broxton and Jaxton Spurgin and Lainee Spurgin, Jaydynn McCune and two step great, great-grandchildren; Babiee McCune and Birdy Hagins, as well as her goddaughter and niece, Vicky Crouse and sister-in-law, Kathy Northrup. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her brother, Ronnie Schmidt in 1977 and a step great-granddaughter, Madisson Spurgin. 

A visitation will be held from 10-11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Adamson with her Life Celebration following at 11:00 a.m.  A reception will be held in the Adamson Reception Center.  Interment 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Sunset Memorial Gardens.  Friends may leave condolences at AdamsonCares.com.
