Obituary of Greggory Kim Martin

Greggory Kim Martin, 70, of Greeley, CO, died on April 19, 2023 at UC Health in Greeley, CO.

Gregg was born on May 19, 1952 in Tilden, NE to Robert Paul Martin and Betty Jo (Coutts) Martin. Gregg grew up in Neligh, NE surrounded by his family and friends. He graduated from Pope John XXIII High School in Elgin, NE and attended Aims Community College in Greeley CO. Gregg was a long-haul truck driver and drove for Walmart for many years.

Gregg had a passionate nostalgia for classic cars and classic music. He loved fishing and simply taking in God’s canvas. He had an appreciation for the small details in nature, things that others might not give a second thought. Gregg was a quiet, understated wealth of knowledge. His many self-taught talents were under appreciated, but he didn’t mind. Gregg had a tender heart for animals, for all creatures. Their innocence and vulnerability touched his soul. His compassion ran deep and true. Gregg felt everything so deeply. Always well intentioned, he remained steadfast in his faith. His life here wasn’t easy, and it shows on his beautiful battered soul. To those who truly knew Gregg, he remains a blessing. He left this world one month before his 71st birthday. A certain unexpected peace comes now; the Lord’s soft-spoken comfort in knowing that Gregg is at rest in the Heavenly Father’s loving arms; fully accepted, fully known and fully loved in the Kingdom of Heaven, his home now and forever.

Gregg is survived by his wife, Linda Martin; stepson Emery (Theresa) Blee, three grandchildren; Tanner, Aaron and Serenity Blee, brother Bob (Anne) Martin of Hereford, AZ; sister Laura (Matt) Fletcher of Monument, CO; sister Cindy (Tim) Donovan of Greeley CO; sister Mary Jo (Dan) Stiles of Cloudland, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.
