What a one of kind lady is now at peace. I had the privilege of rooming with her on a Rockies Spring Training tour and what a hoot. We realized we were even related by marriage, much to our surprise! I never smelled smoke on her but thought she must smoke in the bathroom as there was a book of matches on the back of the toilet. She taught me the understanding of matches in the bathroom! HA HA!!!! I loved her dearly and what an inspiration she was to all she knew. You always knew where you stood with Darlene. My thoughts and prayers are with you in your loss. You will always hold many precious memories in your hearts. She has definitely enlightened heaven with her humor!
