Obituary of Lillian Christina Cass

Lillian Christina Cass, 94, passed away on May 13, 2023. She was born on July 5, 1928 to Adam and Julia (Muhlbeier) Heinle. She was raised in Buckingham, Colorado and was in the last class to graduate from Buckingham School.

Following graduation, she met and married James Neil Cass, Sr. They were married 32 years before his unexpected passing. Together they raised six children. She was an instrumental part of their growing up as she attended every school and extracurricular activity they were involved in. She continued as her grandchildren and great grandchildren came along until her health slowed her down.

She spent many hours and years in her yard … taking care of her flowers and mowing her yard. Or just sitting on the swing on the porch to enjoy the view.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, eleven siblings (and their spouses). She is survived by her children Julie (Steve) Freemeyer of Briggsdale, Colorado; Kathy (Bob) Magnuson of Wood Lake, Nebraska; Connie (Darrell) Hill of Briggsdale, Colorado; Marcia (Bernie) Ellis of Briggsdale, Colorado; Jim (Karen) Cass of Hereford, Colorado; and Rick (Patti) Cass of Briggsdale, Colorado. She leaves behind twelve grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
