Obituary of Dolores Rizo

Dolores Rizo, 92, of Greeley, CO, moved on to get her angel wings on May 16^th, 2023. Dolores was born in Texas on March 27^th, 1931 to parents Alejos Perez and Michela Rodriguez.

Dolores loved her family dearly, most importantly her grand kids with whom she spent many hours with. Dolores loved making people laugh, sewing, crocheting, coloring, and cooking her famous chicken mole with rice which everyone loved. Dolores was also a big Dallas Cowboys fan.

Dolores was preceded in death by her husband Refugio Rizo; her sons, Pablo Rizo, Manuel Rizo, Refugio Rizo Jr., and Ramon Rizo.

Dolores leaves behind Sally Garza (Aurora); David Rizo; Jesse Rizo; Frances Rizo & Jesus Gonzalez (Greeley); Connie Rizo (Greeley); Tommy Rizo (Texas); her sister Maria Perez; 22 Grand kids; 50 Great Grand kids; and 10 Great Great Grand kids.

Dolores will be loved and remembered for many things, but most importantly she will be remembered for her loving and generous heart.

Visitation will be held for Dolores at Adamson Life Celebration Home Wednesday May 24th, 2023 from 4pm – 6pm with Rosary to follow.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following day at 12:30pm Thursday May 25^th, 2023 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greeley with Graveside service and burial to follow at Sunset Cemetery in Greeley at 2:00pm

There will a reception following at the Moose Lodge in Evans at 4:00pm.
