Obituary of Beth Elaine Killgore

Beth Elaine Killgore 83, of Greeley passed peacefully at her home on Saturday, November 18, 2023.

Beth was born July 19, 1940, in Walden, Colorado to Martin and Eleanor Allard.

In her early years, the Allard family moved from Walden to Loveland, Colorado where they raised cattle and ran the family ranch.

The Allard children were accomplished horseman and participated in the local Larimer County Fair and Rodeo.

In 1958, Beth was chosen as Larimer County Fair and Rodeo Attendant/Lady in Waiting then followed that up in 1959 as the Larimer County Rodeo Queen.

During this time, Beth met Clifford Killgore and later that year, the couple were married in San Rafael, CA while on vacation with the Killgore family.

Clifford moved the new couple to Walden, Colorado for a short time where he worked at a service station. They then moved to Fort Collins where they had their three children, Robert, Doug and Carol.

The family was then moved to Colorado Springs in the early 70’s where Beth worked at a manufacturing company as a line worker.

In the mid 70’s Cliff and Beth moved to Eaton, Colorado where they purchased and operated a Texaco Service Station side by side. Beth maintained the books and greeted customers up front of the station while Cliff operated the service area in the back.

After selling the service station, Beth and Cliff opened a transmission business in Greeley, Colorado where Beth again worked side by side with Cliff, tearing down transmissions, ordering needed parts, and maintaining the books for the business.

Cliff would tell people that Beth had the knowledge to rebuild a transmission if she wanted to, and Beth would retort with a giggle stating “Yes, but if I did that the Cliff wouldn’t have anything to do”!

In the Early 80’s they sold their house in Eaton and moved to east Greeley where they lived the remainder of their days with Cliff passing in 2013.

Both Beth and Cliff enjoyed going to Street Rod car shows and traveling when possible. They owned many cars over the years.

Beth is proceeded in death by her husband, Clifford Killgore, her parents, Martin and Eleanor Allard, brother James Allard and sister Linda Wright.

She is survived by her three children, Robert (Jackie) Killgore, Doug Killgore, Carol (Mike) Mooso, two grandchildren, Robert Jr, Cassadee Killgore and two great grandchildren.
