Obituary of Lloyd E. Gerbitz

Lloyd E. Gerbitz, 85, of Greeley, passed away at his home on December 20, 2023.  He was born January 11, 1938 in Lafayette, CO to Robert Ernest and Agness Edna (Melvin) Gerbitz.

Lloyd was an accomplished, hard working business man. He owned & operated several successful businesses, Lloyd Gerbitz Rubbish Removal/Gerbitz Rubbish Removal, for many years, as well as Ares Thrift Shop, just to name a few. 

He enjoyed gardening and grew hundreds of tomato plants, cucumbers, four o' clocks, petunias and enjoyed fishing. He was well known for his sense of humor on numerous occasions. "What if I told you I was a cowboy & you didn't know?" was one of his favorite sayings.  

He is survived by seven children; Arlene, Darrell D, Christine, Lynx, Jody, Sabrina & Jason, 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great, great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Agness and siblings; Melvin, Darrell E. & Janice & two grandchildren Angel & River.
