Obituary of Thomas Aquinas Milan
Thomas Aquinas Milan, 95, of Greeley, passed away on January 4, 2024 in Gilbert, AZ. He was born November 2, 1928 in Golden, CO to Edward Joseph and Agnes Morgan (Brady) Milan and raised in the Denver area.
He graduated from South High School in 1947, receiving his diploma while serving in the U.S. Navy. He was Honorably Discharged and went on to attend the Emily Griffith School as a machinist.
On August 25, 1951, he married Phyllis Carolyn McMullen in Denver.
Thomas graduated from Colorado State University in 1968 with his Bachelors and then with a Masters from CSU. He worked as a Machinist for a number of years and then taught at Widefield High School in Colorado Springs. He was also the Administrator for the Vocational Education program with the State of Colorado, was involved with AIMS Community College in the Vocational program and School District 6, retiring in 1992.
Thomas was recognized by many organizations throughout his career, a number of them with FFA.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Ford Retractable Club and the Antique Automobile Association.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis, children; Tommy (Claudia), Randy (Debbie) and Carolyn (Randy) Lane, eight grandchildren; Justin, Ross, Scott, Colleen, Cody, Kyle, Kaeleen and Tasha, 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers and sisters.
A Life Celebration will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Adamson, 2000 47th Ave., Greeley, CO 80634 with viewing one hour prior. A reception will follow in the Adamson Reception Center. Interment 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Fort Logan National Cemetery. Condolences may be shared at AdamsonCares.com.
