Obituary of Michael Stanley Sperber

Michael Stanley Sperber, 73, of Greeley passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at UC Health Greeley.  He was born April 25, 1950 to Bernard and Corrine (Dickinson) Sperber in Greeley.  Michael grew up in Greeley and graduated from Greeley Central High School.  He served in the United States Army from 1968-1971.   On June 14, 1970 he married Becky Thompson in Greeley.

Michael worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 32 years before retiring.  After retirement he worked part-time for Safeway Fuel for 10 years.  He was handy and enjoyed updating his home.  His interests included woodworking, fishing, reading, biking, walks on the beach and detailing his vehicles.

Michael is survived by his wife, Becky Sperber of Greeley, CO; his children, Tish Davis and husband Brad of Florida and Philip Sperber and wife Amy of Castle Pines, CO; and five grandsons, Jacob Davis, Daniel Davis, Joshua Davis, Kyle Sperber and Nicholas Sperber.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Life Celebration will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2024 at Adamson Life Celebration Home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church of Greeley or the Weld County Food Bank in care of Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 W. 47^th Ave., Greeley, CO  80634.
