Obituary of Darlene Faye Maag

Darlene Faye (Carey) Maag passed away February 9^th at Fairacres Manor. She was born on October 12^th, 1934, in Lemoyne, Nebraska to Lewis and Beulah (Brockman) Carey. She met and married Virgil Maag in Kersey, Colorado on July 27^th, 1952.

While living in Boulder, Colorado, their son Rick (Barb) and daughter Debra (Bob) Hein were born. Later they moved to Denver, Colorado where their daughter Julie (Frank) Meis was born. In 1971, they moved back to Kersey, Colorado where they lived until Virgil retired from Weld County Road and Bridge. She lost Virgil in 2013.

She is proceeded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers Doug and Ben, daughter Julie and son-in-law Bob. She is survived by Rick, Debra, brother Bud, 4 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.  She will be put to rest on February 20^th, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. A Graveside Service will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Greeley, followed by a reception at Adamson Life Celebration Home, Greeley.
