Louise Morissette

Obituary of Louise A. Morissette

Louise A. Morissette, 69, of Windsor passed away February 13, 2024 at her home.  She was born January 5, 1955 in Providence, Rhode Island to Gerald and Doris (Audette) Nickerson.  She grew up in Providence.

Louise was a devoted mother and grandmother, known as Nana “Scruffy” , because of her love for her sweet dog, Scruffy.  She had a unique and loving relationship with each one of her grandchildren.  All who knew her immediately knew that being a nana was her greatest joy in life.  But beyond being a mother and nana she was exceptionally talented.  She was an excellent cook and made the best cake pops in town!  She won many awards as an accomplished confectionary artist.  She went to cosmetology school as a young woman as well as a beautiful floral designer.  She loved making diamond paintings and made hand crafted jewelry for her friends and family.   She was a loving mother, nana, daughter, sister and aunty!  The bond with her family is what will be missed most.  Although she will be missed dearly her loved ones find comfort in knowing she had a relationship with her savior.

Louise is survived by her children, Jennifer Stoner and husband Devon Stoner of Windsor, CO, Lisa Low of Loveland, CO, David Morissette of Loveland, CO and Brian Morissette of Denver, CO; her grandchildren,  Gregory Hassell of Windsor, CO, Riley Berry of Loveland, CO, James Berry of Loveland, CO and Noah Baucum of Windor, CO; her siblings, Jeanne M. Nickerson of North Providence, Donald W. Nickerson and wife Judy of Warwick, RI and Doris E. Montaquila and husband Peter of West Warwick, RI; and loved by many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald Nickerson and Doris St. Amand and her sister Jeryl Florio.
